Our client, a leader in high-performance fertilizer products, is seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Engineer to manage the maintenance, reliability, and performance of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the manufacturing plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of the plant, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the fertilizer plant.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in mills, gearboxes, drives, conveyors, pumps, and other rotating or static equipment.
Draft, interpret, and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks for installations, retrofits, and process improvements.
Monitor and document equipment performance, maintaining comprehensive maintenance logs and reports.
Lead or support the installation, commissioning, and modification of new mechanical systems and equipment.
Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure cross-functional maintenance execution.
Adhere to and enforce occupational health and safety standards during all mechanical interventions.
Assist in planning and managing the mechanical spare parts inventory.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime and increasing plant efficiency.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical or a related field.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
Ability to work in a remote location and manage on-site maintenance teams.
