The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer is a key technical position within the USAID Nawiri program, responsible for supporting the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities at the sub county level. The role ensures program quality, accountability, documentation, and the generation of timely, accurate data to support adaptive management and evidence-based decision-making.
The M&E Officer will work closely with county and sub-county teams to operationalize a responsive MEL system aligned with project objectives. They will support the project’s Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) agenda by facilitating data-driven learning and program adaptation processes.
Key responsibilities include supporting routine data collection and analysis, strengthening local data platforms, ensuring alignment with MEL standards and frameworks, and building the capacity of program staff, County Data Focal Point Officers, and M&E Assistants. The position plays a central role in ensuring the reliability and quality of data used at various implementation levels, contributing directly to program performance and strategic outcomes.
